Large lecture theatres with tiered seating and iconic buildings are one of the cornerstones of University campuses. However they sometimes represent a waste of space. Especially as a growing number of teaching staff and students are increasingly favouring blending and online learning. This session will explore how to embed flexibility into campus spaces to enable multifunctionality and cost effectiveness.
- Identifying areas of wasted space within University campus and embedding flexibility
- Creating a roadmap for flexibility and a multiple purpose campus to optimize space utilization
- Strategies to retrofit and fit-out to optimize space activation
